ATLANTE acetabular cup is a rigid, press-fit, cementless acetabular
cup. Its special feature is
the screw holes that remain blanked-off, if
screws are not used.
This cup, thanks to its specific metal-back, offers a tight interface (if no screw is used) to polyethylene remains to avoid the risks of osteolysis of the bone receiver.
Indications
ATLANTE acetabular cup is usually used in surgery of :
- first intention THP due to coxarthrosis, dysplasia, or polyarthritis...
It can also be used in case of :
Concept
ATLANTE was developed
to limit to the maximum the release and the migration of polyethylene particles to the bone receiver.- With this intention, this cotyle is provided with blanked-off screw hole, if the screws are not used.
- The polar hole is blanked-off, once the impaction carried out with a polar screw dedicated for this purpose.
- The inner surface of the metal-back acetabular cup has a mirror finish, to avoid all polyethylene wear.
Product characteristics
Metal-back
The metal-back of ATLANTE acetabular cup is made of TA6V4 titanium alloy.
It is coated with T40 titanium and a coating of hydroxyapatite on its external face to promote secondary fixation.
It is covered with titanium T40 projection for a better secondary fixing.
Press-fit is performed thanks to a flare and an equatorial macrostructures.
Blanking-off the screw holes ensures a perfect seal of the area in
contact with the bone when it is installed as a press-fit unit without
screws.
The ATLANTE acetabular cup
comes in a range of sizes from 46 to 68 mm, by step of 2mm.
PE & alumina inserts
The UHMWPE polyethylene insert and alumina inserts has a flange and a notched fixation
system with 12 outgrowth guaranteeing perfect stability.
These crenels allow the orientation of the posterior wall by step of 30°.
Screw
Optional
screws are deliver with instrument set.
They are cancellous , with flatten head, manufactured in a titanium alloy.
