A complete range of snap-off screws for forefoot osteotomies
The be POD range of screws provides a specific response to the problems encountered by foot surgeons when trying to obtain a stable, reliable and easy to perform osteosynthesis
4 snap-off screws: self-compressive screw, arthrodesis screw, Weil screw or FSA revision screw
These screws are made from a titanium alloy and are biocompatible.
Indications
- Metatarsal and phalangeal, distal and proximal osteotomies :
- Osteotomies of the first metatarsal: scarf, chevron, base, ludloff, etc…
- Phalangeal osteotomies,
- Weil osteotomies,
- Revision osteosyntheses.
The same screws can be used to fix both phalangeal and metatarsal osteotomies.

Snap-off screw for arthrodesis of the great toe (MPGT)
Screw with differential thread and large diameter making controlled compression of the arthrodesis possible.
Head : Ø 5mm - Thread Ø 4mm - Core Ø 2mm
Can be inserted using power ( A0 motor)

- Arthrodesis of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the great toe, metatarsal osteotomy.
Weil snap-off screw
Snap-off self-tapping screw with augmented thread width.
Thread : Ø 2,5mm

FSA snap off screw
2-part screw permitting anchorage in the opposite part of the cortical bone and avoiding any risk of fixation failure, particularly in poor quality bone.
Thread : Ø 2mm

- Scarf in poor quality bone and revision osteotomies.
For easy management in the operating theatre

- Cannulated screw : placed on a ø 1mm pin, useful for guidance on great lengths,
- Anodisation : surface treatment that makes it easier to implant or, if necessary, remove, blue in colour
- Screwing/Tightening : by hand and/or with a motor, with final tightening and removal with a screwdriver. The marks have been chosen to make it possible to use a standard 6 face screwdriver of the AO type.
